    What is Zcash (ZEC)?

Launched in 2016, Zcash is a permissionless proof-of-work cryptocurrency built around the same 21 million supply cap as Bitcoin, with the addition of optional zero-knowledge cryptography (zk-SNARKs) for private "shielded" transactions. ZEC is held by traders that value monetary scarcity alongside on-chain privacy. At XBTFX, ZEC is both a deposit asset and a supported MT5 base currency.

Trade Forex with Zcash as your settlement currency

Open an MT5 account denominated in ZEC and every position you take — EUR/USD, XAU/USD, Nasdaq 100, share CFDs, even other crypto CFDs — settles its P&L in Zcash. Your stack stays in ZEC, no forced USD conversions cut into your trading capital, and you can offset directional ZEC exposure with short ZEC/USD CFD positions on the same account.

    Stack in ZEC, not dollars

Equity grows or contracts in Zcash. Your benchmark is ZEC — fiat is just one of the things you're trading against.

    No conversion friction

Deposit ZEC, trade in ZEC, withdraw ZEC. No forced USD conversion when you fund or withdraw.

    Questions

    ZEC Deposit Questions

Common questions about depositing Zcash (ZEC) and trading forex with a ZEC-denominated account at XBTFX.

    • Can I deposit Zcash and trade forex on XBTFX?

Yes. XBTFX accepts native ZEC deposits on the Zcash network and lets you trade forex, metals, indices, energies, share CFDs, and crypto CFDs. ZEC deposits are credited to your XBTFX Wallet, where you can transfer to any MT5, cTrader, or xPro account — including a ZEC-denominated MT5 account where every position settles its P&L in Zcash.

    • What kind of Zcash address should I use?

Send to the Zcash transparent (t-addr) deposit address generated in the XBTFX client portal. Transparent deposits are the standard for exchange and broker funding because they let the receiving side verify the inbound transaction. Shielded (z-addr) sends are not auto-credited.

    • Which Zcash network does XBTFX support?

XBTFX supports native ZEC on the Zcash mainnet only. Wrapped ZEC tokens on Ethereum, BSC, or any other chain are not supported deposit assets. Always send native ZEC to the deposit address generated in the client portal.

    • How fast are ZEC deposits credited?

Zcash produces a new block roughly every 75 seconds. Deposits auto-credit after the required confirmations, typically within 10–20 minutes from broadcast.

    • Is there a fee to deposit ZEC to my XBTFX account?

XBTFX charges zero deposit fees on ZEC. You only pay the underlying Zcash network fee, which is typically a fraction of a cent per transaction.

    • Can I run a ZEC-denominated trading account?

Yes. XBTFX MT5 accounts can be opened with ZEC as the base currency on both Edge and Standard account types. Every position you take — EUR/USD, XAU/USD, Nasdaq 100, share CFDs, even other crypto CFDs — settles its P&L in Zcash. Your stack stays in ZEC.

    • Why trade with a Zcash base account?

If your wealth benchmark is ZEC rather than dollars, a ZEC base account removes the constant USD ↔ ZEC conversion that otherwise cuts into every deposit, withdrawal, and rebalance. You can also offset directional ZEC exposure by going short ZEC/USD CFD on the same account while running long forex, metals, or index positions.

    • Can I use ZEC as collateral on xPro?

Yes. xPro uses multi-asset cross-margin collateral, so ZEC deposits can collateralise any xPro position without converting. This is in addition to the ZEC base-currency option on MT5.

    • Does XBTFX charge for ZEC withdrawals?

XBTFX does not charge a withdrawal fee on ZEC — you only pay the underlying Zcash network fee. Withdrawal requests are processed within 24 hours on business days.

    Important Information

    • XBTFX accepts only native ZEC on the Zcash mainnet using transparent (t-addr) deposit addresses. Shielded (z-addr) sends are not auto-credited.
    • Wrapped ZEC on Ethereum, BSC, or other chains is not supported and may result in permanent loss of funds.
    • XBTFX charges zero deposit and withdrawal fees on ZEC. Standard Zcash network fees apply.
    • Withdrawal requests are processed within 24 hours on business days.
    • ZEC is a volatile asset. A ZEC-denominated trading account exposes account equity to ZEC price movement in addition to your trading P&L.
